These sessions vary from painting from own resources, life, portrait, and themed still-life. Several competitions, social gatherings are held throughout the year. There is a monthly ‘Bring & Buy’ table.
Despite this incredibly difficult year for everyone, the society has continued to operate, maintaining contact with members with weekly Zoom meetings and continuing with the very popular ‘plein air’ painting mornings throughout this lovely summer. In addition, we held a very successful annual summer exhibition at St Anne’s Hall.
However, we have now reluctantly taken the decision that the Covid situation remains too unstable and the risks to our members is too great to meet face to face for art sessions and demonstrations at this time. I am very sorry if you were looking forward to these October meet ups but I hope you will understand why the decision was made. The situation will be reviewed at Christmas here is hoping for a return to normal in 2021.
Our weekly Zoom meetings (see image below) will continue with challenges, discussion, lectures and demonstrations so please continue to support them. Thank you for your continuing support and understanding.
Keep Painting
Keep In Touch
Keep Safe
Best Wishes
